Seals live on the sandbar in the sea. Young seals are regularly released from the seal sanctuary onto the beach. A wonderful experience to see, for young and old!

Attention! There is a dangerous sandbar off the coast of Renesse: the Verklikkerplaat. At low tide it looks like a stretch of beach but at high tide the gully that runs around it gets filled with sea water and you can no longer walk back to the beach. There are warning signs on the beach with more information.
